Contact

You are encouraged to contact us regarding any of our policies or activities by e-mailing pluckypetals@gmail.com or calling 415-779-8059.

Registration & Payment

To sign-up your child for an art class, complete and submit a Registration Form after reading our Policies and then click on Enrollment to reserve your child's place. Any registration submitted without payment creates an obligation for the registrant, and a right for Plucky Petals Art Studio to collect the fee from the registrant.  The registrant’s reservation will not be made until the Registration Form, Event Waiver / Disclaimer, any other legal agreement acknowledgment, and acceptance, and payment are received by Plucky Petals Art Studio.  If these are not all received by earlier than 7 business days after registration, or 3 business days before the scheduled event, Plucky Petals Art Studio may cancel the registration.

If payment cannot be made through the website, or if alternative payment arrangements are needed, please call or e-mail to make arrangements, or promptly mail a check payable to Plucky Petals Art Studio, 3708 Burwell St., Bremerton, WA 98312, and please call or e-mail to let me know a check has been mailed.

Student Drop Off

Students may enter class 5 minutes before their scheduled class time.  This extra 5 minute period is intended to allow students to get situated and is non-instructional.  Parents should enter with younger students to ensure that the class is open and the student is expected in the class.

Please dress your child appropriately for an art class. Play clothes and/or apron/smock to cover clothing. We are using permanent markers, paints, and pastels that can ruin good clothing.

Student Pick Up

Students should be picked up by authorized persons no later than 10 minutes after class is scheduled to end.  Students cannot be released to anyone not listed as an authorized person in the registration form, or an alternate person authorized in writing, such as by e-mail from an authorized person providing a full name and phone number, before the student is due to be released.  Photo ID may be required by the Plucky Petals Art Studio instructor.  Advance written authorization from an authorized person must also be made if a student is to be released on their own without being released to a specific authorized person.

Health Needs and Allergies

Registrants must provide details of any medical, health, or allergy-related needs of students in writing with sufficient advance notice for Plucky Petals Art Studio to make a reasonable effort to arrange necessary accommodations, or if necessary accommodations cannot be made, to advise registrant in advance so that no student arrives for an event at which there are insufficient accommodations for these important needs.

Class Size Limits

Plucky Petals Art Studio may establish class size limits for any of its events based on facility capacity, adequacy of instructor time with each student, and other reasons to provide a safe and high-quality learning experience.  Registrations beyond such limits may be added to a waiting list and will be notified of their placement on the waiting list.  Registrants should be available to respond quickly if they are later notified of an opening, as time may be limited to accept before the opening is offered to the next registrant in the list.

Make-Up Days

No make-up classes will be provided for missed camp days.  One make-up class may be scheduled at the end of an art class session, at Plucky Petals Art Studio’s discretion and subject to availability of the facility and instructor.  Class or camp days canceled by Plucky Petals Art Studio due to emergencies may be re-scheduled, or pro-rated fees may be refunded, at Plucky Petals Art Studio’s sole discretion.

There will be no make-up day for a missed make-up day. Failure to communicate an absence within 1 hr of class time will result in a "no show". There will be no make-up time for "no shows". There will be no refunds or exchange of dates for "no shows".

Cancellation and Transfer

Registrations canceled in writing by registrants with early notice will be refunded 100%, less a $20.00 cancellation fee, or credited 100% toward future events with no cancellation fee.  Early notice is:

Camp: 30 or more days in advance

Art Classes: 15 or more days in advance

Registrations canceled in writing by registrants with shorter notice will be refunded or credited as follows:

Plucky Petals Art Studio may cancel a class or camp if it does not meet minimum enrollment criteria, and will promptly refund fees in the event of such cancellation. Plucky Petals Art Studio may combine age groups for classes or camps if they do not meet minimum enrollment criteria at Plucky Petals Art Studio’s sole discretion. Registrants will have the option to choose a refund or class reassignment.

Class or camp days canceled by Plucky Petals Art Studio due to emergencies may be re-scheduled, or pro-rated fees may be refunded, at Plucky Petals Art Studio's sole discretion.

Behavior

We do not tolerate negative comments, name-calling, teasing, or aggressive behavior among students. We will talk to a student on the first incident; with a parent or caregiver, on the second incident. Three incidents may result in dismissal from the class without a refund. Disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.
